Mexico has already vaccinated 492K people, Argentina 200K, Chile 22K. We calculate that, by YE21, Brazil may reach 1.4 doses and Mexico 1.6 doses per person. Brazil's rollout plan assumes that by July, the country could have 146mi doses available (enough to cover 34% of the population). Brazil's priority groups amount to 49.65mi people (or 23% of population). API and vaccine imports from Europe, India or China are real bottlenecks in the vaccination rollout.
COVID-19: Brazil and Mexico number of cases surging; Watching Chile and Peru
Brazil has confirmed 8.5mi COVID-19 cases (as of Jan 19), Chile 677K and Mexico 1.6mi. This week, the number of new daily deaths declined 2% in Brazil (vs +38% the week before) and the average number of new cases in Brazil reached a peak of 54.3K. The number of deaths in Mexico increased +4% (vs +35% a week ago) and the average number of new cases reached a record 15.4K. Chile and Peru appear to be entering a new contamination wave.
